Ok Christmas went good. We spent it in Arizona. It wasn't as warm down there as I was hoping it would have been, but it was definitely warmer than here. We stopped in at the hospital in Vegas to see if some of the nurses were on duty and to let them see how Randy has come along in the almost 9 months since his aneurysm. They were all just amazed to see him and to see that there was no permanent damage done. I had to have my gall bladder removed on Monday the 29th. All went good. They did a scope to see if there was any acid reflux that is sometimes associated with gall bladder problems and they found a hernia and a polyp in my stomach. The polyp was removed and I will have to talk with the surgeon when I go in for a check up in 2 weeks about the hernia. I am doing good. Pretty sore but no major pain. As long as I keep popping the pills it helps. So that is how I am spending the remainder of our Christmas break. As Carrie said "Only you would schedule a surgery so you wouldn't have to take time off from work." I am trying to get emloyee of the year! LOL!

Just a blog to get everyone up to speed on Randy. After the anuerysm happened we spent 16 days in Las Vegas. On April 15th (Tues night) we flew out of vegas to Salt Lake to go to Primary Childrens. When Randy got there he couldn't sit up, hold his head up or talk. We had only been there a day and he was sitting up on his own ( well with alittle help) he smiled for the first time when he saw his Dad. Scott had to drive our truck up from Vegas. By Saturday of that same week he was saying words. On Sunday when I had got down there he had ordered his own breakfast. Everyday he would get better and better. He loved to get out of bed and stand. Then when he could get to walk that was even better. He just progressed so fast after we got to Salt Lake. On May 2nd he walked out of the Hosp. on his own. What a Mother's Day present that was. He was in Hospitals a total of 32 days after the injury. He is amazing! He hated this summer though. He had to do speech, occupational therapies and then we started having a teacher come in and help get him going on catching up on school work. We thought we would have to modifiy his school day and only let him go a couple of hours a day but he has gone all day long since the end of August. He made honor roll the first quarter. He is just a miracle. He still needs a little help with his speech (his thoughts don' t flow out like he wants them too) and with his right hand he needs help with too. He is just doing really well. The doctors in Vegas told us it would be a long recovery and healing. Randy just had to prove them wrong!

First blog ever

Well here goes! So much had happened to our family this year it is hard to write about all of it. Scott's Great-Grandma passed away at the beginning of this year. Our Randy had a brain anuerysm at the end of March. We had a flood in our basement in May. Jordan graduated from High School in May. We had a car accident the end of August. Jordan moved to Arkansas the first of October. And I will finish the year with having gallbladder surgery the end of December. That is our 2008 novel in a nut shell. So much has happened! I am so thankful everyday that I still have all my children and my husband. It is amazing how you can have things happen and can survive and learn from them.
